Two of my favorite projects in August!

You may recognize the hat(Baylie Bear Cowl, designed by Heidi May) from previous posts.  The sweater is my creation.  The yarn(Red Heart Plush Baby) is now one of my favorites for sweaters and hats!

One of my favorite models(our granddaughter) wearing a hat I made from a pattern I found on Moogly's blog, Ups and Downs Crochet Slouchy Beanie.

Love this new hat pattern that I purchased!

Sorry it has been so long!  Busy! busy! busy!

I made this cowl hat for a toddler but the only model I had is my niece who happens to have a small head.  :)  I am hoping the mom that bought this for her daughter will share a pic when she gives it to her daughter for her birthday.

It is a fun pattern to work with.  I made several for the granddaughters' 18 inch dolls.  The pattern is Baylie Bear Cowl, Designed by Heidi May.

Crochet, crochet, crochet

Wow!  Crochet, crochet, crochet!

Good thing I love to crochet because I have been doing a lot of it lately.  Some for orders I have received, some just because, and some for memory blankets for families that have lost children to disease and accidents.

Making the squares are so gratifying.  You can't help but think about what the families must be going through at this terrible time during their lives.

If you might be interested in a project like this here is the link to the group that do these.  You can sign up to make squares, put blankets together or donate money towards the shipping of these blankets.  The group has a FB page so visit us there.  JTL Squares

The last two I sent out were for a family that lost 2 of their daughters in a car accident and a 3rd daughter is still in ICU with a head injury.

I also have been making some baseball caps for little guys!  I have sent one off to Hawaii, one to Maryland, and one stayed here in Michgan!

and this little set is for sale on my FB page, Brenda's Bric-a-Brac.
I thought "Daddy's Little Girl" would make a for a great photo prop.  This set is newborn size and consists of a football hat, leg warmers and a crocheted pink football!

And last but not least!  As a matter of fact is one of my favorite things to make! A snowflake!  And I find most of my patterns here,  Snowcatcher's blog and the snowflake I used is her February 14, 2011 pattern.  But this is not just just a snowflake  but a 3D snowflake!  This one is going to California!  but check it out! My 3D snowflake

And I came across this wonderful idea!  I wish I had thought of this or come across the idea while my boys were little and the grandkids were younger!  But I think my grandkids will still enjoy making these.  Great idea from  "Lines Across": Turn baby scribbles into bows (Gift Bow Tutorial)

Have a great Monday!!  I love Monday's because they are Snowflake Monday on Snowcatcher!!

Bella's hat

I sort of finished a hat for my youngest granddaughter, Bella, today.  I say sort of because I'm thinking I will make the poms on the hat all one color, the same color as the hat.  What do you think?

I bought her a winter coat at a resale shop that had an ink stain on it on the pink side so I also crocheted a flower to cover the ink.  The coat is reversible so she can wear the green side too.

Now I am wondering if I should crochet another flower for her hat.

Decisions, decisions, decisions!!  and leave the poms multi-colored??

After some thought I have decided to just do the poms in one color that match the hat.  And the finished hat will not have the flower on it, a friend mentioned she thought I had a great hat with just the poms and I agree!!  I hope Bella likes her hat and her "new" coat!!
